….It (Hurricane Irma) sounded like a death train, whistling so high that my ears were popping…the land looks like a fire came and cleared it….like the barren land in the movie “The Lion King”.

All Saints Cathedral School Irma/Maria Recovery Fund
Dear Supporter;
Your assistance is needed. Our community is going through a catastrophic recovery period here at All Saints Cathedral School, as a result of the two recent category 5 hurricanes, Irma and Maria. Our school suffered severe losses to our physical plant, instructional materials and human capital; there was widespread water invasion in the majority of the classrooms and in our book storage facility; students lost textbooks and support materials as roofs were blown away; water, mold and mildew damaged ceiling tiles, computers, back-up devices and laptops; intense wind surges caused window screens to be blown off and damaged; our school building roofs have all been compromised and at least one was destroyed; we have had students and teachers leave the territory. With the support of the Bishop and the Episcopal Diocese of the Virgin Islands, All Saints has launched a special Hurricane Irma/Maria relief online campaign in an effort to raise $53,000.00 to address our immediate need to replace textbooks, desks, teaching materials, window screens and ceiling tiles which are needed to protect students from the rising population of mosquitoes. We currently face special challenges, and hope you can make a special offering towards this fund, and encourage others to do so as well. Thank you. Your committed support and prayers are needed and appreciated! Sincerely, Carla Sarauw Head of School All Saints Cathedral School is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization – TAX ID 67-0252961 |
